| Robert L Decker Background Robert Decker is a Certified Public Accountant with 30 years of financial management experience. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Churchill Downs Incorporated from 1997 through 2002. In that position, he directed the Company's financial, treasury, investor relations, information technology and administrative functions during a period of dramatic growth. He managed the Company's mergers and acquisitions of four racetracks, and the capital transactions that provided funding for them. He also directed the spin-off of the Company's strategic business into a separate operating unit, Churchill Downs Simulcast Network (CDSN), and served as its first President.
Prior to joining Churchill Downs, Decker held several executive positions with Hilton Group, PLC, including Vice President of Finance with Hilton International Corporation. Among his responsibilities was managing the finances of Hilton's properties in South America, the Caribbean and Canada.
Most recently while Robert Decker was forming Robert L. Decker, LLC, he also spent a year in a parttime position with Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI), the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, as an Executive in Residence. In this position, he assisted GLI with rebuilding its financial systems and the reorganization of the accounting department.
